The UKA Junior Open Championship 2012

The aim of this competition is to encourage Junior handlers to compete in Agility and prepare them for their future competitions.

General Rules
  • Open to all handlers who are under 18 on the 1st December 2012
  • Open to all levels and all heights running in one competition
  • Agility and Jumping class with results combined
  • Course level should be Beginner / Novice
  • Course time is to be Beginner rates of travel for the Maxi and Standard with 2 seconds added for the Midi and Toy


Scoring
  • Standard UK Agility Marking will apply
  • The results from each class will be combined with all faults (course and time faults) added to time and subtracted from the course time
  • Time faults treated the same as course faults
  • Eliminations will score 100 faults and also be given standard course time
  • The dog with the highest number left will be deemed the winner
  • (E.g. Course time Maxi/Std = 50 seconds, Midi /Toy 52 seconds. Dog 1; Maxi, clear in 30 seconds = 20 points. Dog 2; Std, 5 faults in 31 seconds = 14 points. Dog 3; Midi, clear in 34 seconds = 18 points. Dog 4; Toy, eliminated = -100 points)
  • In the event of a tie the result from the agility will be the deciding factor
  • Any extraordinary circumstances to be ruled by UK Agility


Final Qualification
  • 10 Heats
  • Top 4 from each heat qualify for the Final
  • Final will follow the same format as the heats
